Las niñas no deben tener relaciones sexuales antes de la madurez por eso la protagonista del cuento cae en un profundo sueño cuando se pincha con la rueca (símbolo de la menstruación)\u003Cbr \/\u003E  Posiblemente está enseñanza era fundamental cuando esta historia se hizo popular. Hoy la damos por sabida y no se asocia con el cuento pero la advertencia sigue ahí:la menstruación no hace adultas a las niñas.
